custom
framing

At Artact we pride ourselves in giving your artwork the best treatment possible. We control every aspect of custom framing in our own factory, and our framers are among the most skilled and experienced working in Australia today.

From the materials that we use to the craftsmanship employed, nothing is left to chance.

Years of experience have taught us that every client and every piece of artwork is unique and both need special attention. All works on paper are framed individually to suit the artwork, the client, the location and the budget. All important considerations.

A quotation is given for all custom framing and approval given before proceeding.

With the widest range of frames available in this country, plus some that we have made in Italy exclusively for Artact, we are able to give existing artwork a new lease of life. Most original artworks can look like new pieces with careful re-framing.

New artwork that we frame will last you many years thanks to the conservation materials that we use, and the choice of frame that we will recommend.

Framing is not something that many people have experience with, but it can make a great difference to the artwork selected, or indeed the client’s own artwork.

Our key staff have been designing framing for 30 years and this wealth of experience is your guarantee that you will get a look that is distinctive, but that also makes the artwork look as good as possible in your location.

Most framing is completed on site in our workshop within two weeks. Sometimes ‘special occasions’ mean a quicker turnaround is needed, and this is usually possible.

Artact can collect larger pieces of artwork if required, but clients are able to park freely, right outside our workshop in Artarmon and we can help them unload their work.

We believe that the process of custom framing or re-framing should be as enjoyable as possible, and that our clients should understand the work that is being done.

When clients are moving or renovating, we can collect, wrap and store their artwork safely whilst work is being done and then return and install their work when everything is complete.
